Human Ecology International Engagement Grant for Undergraduate and Graduate students.

Award Description:

With funds donated to the Department of Human Ecology by Mrs. Betty Lortscher, a 1958Home Economics Alumna for whom international outreach is important, the Department is able to provide Human Ecology undergraduate and graduate students with small grants(between $500 and $1,000) to facilitate student engagement in international education and/or research activities including practica, community service learning, and cross-cultural research. Funds will not be used to support full semester study abroad. Applications are accepted anytime throughout the year.

Students will only be eligible to receive an international engagement grant once during their program

Applications are accepted anytime throughout the year and should be submitted to LoriMoran, 302 Human Ecology Building (lori.moran@ualberta.ca).

Applications will be evaluated and approved by the Administrative Professional Officer within six weeks from the time of submission

When your application is approved, you will receive information about how to submit your expense claim

Students who receive funding will be required to submit a brief report (2-3 pages) about the international engagement activity and their experience (e.g., what they did, what they learned, highlights, accomplishments, insights, reflections, challenges). The report should be submitted to the Administrative Professional Officer within one month of completing the activity
